CACI Commemorates the 239th Birthday of the U.S. Army
June 14, 2014 marks the 239th anniversary of the Continental Congress's vote to raise six companies of "expert riflemen from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia" to "join the army near Boston." The Congress also drafted an enlistment form that day for people to become "a soldier, in the American continental Army." George Washington was a member of the committee convened to draft rules and regulations for our first Army.
Much has changed in the past 239 years. With evolving threats to our nation, the U.S. Army has expanded beyond riflemen to become an unrivaled fighting force equipped with the latest technologies and the most dedicated military men and women in the world.
CACI is proud of our more than 40 years of U.S. Army support, from our logistics and engineering solutions to keep our troops equipped and mission-ready, to providing C4ISR and cyber solutions that protect and enable our "boots on the ground."
We salute the expertise, commitment, and good character of the U.S. Army, our oldest and largest military branch, on this birthday, and every day.
